               Wildfire!!!!

Unfortunately, Estes Park did not make it through the year without another threatening wildfire.

On November 16th, arcing powerlines sparked a blaze in the residential area of Little Valley in southern Estes Park.

High winds quickly fanned the flames up and over the Kruger Rock area.

Billows of smoke and spot fires lingered on the rugged hillside long after the fire front passed out of sight.

Cold temperatures, light snow, and calmed winds slowed the fires progression and is helping more than 200 firefighters control the blaze.

Our hearts go out to the pilots and  firefighters that always put themselves on the line for everyone. We thank you!!!

This 4 minute video features day and night clips from the fire.
